Dutch officials have identified the man as Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein. He was killed in a shootout with police after opening fire at a free speech forum in Copenhagen, and then shooting people outside a synagogue. On Monday, an estimated 40-thousand people attended a candlelight vigil led by Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt. A Moscow-based security firm has exposed closely guarded secrets on the NSA_s spying capabilities. Russian researchers claim the NSA has figured out how to hide spying software deep within hard drives made by top manufacturers including Western Digital, Seagate, and Toshiba. That means they_d have the ability to eavesdrop on the majority of the world_s computers. Russia_s Kaspersky Lab found personal computers in thirty countries infected with the spying software, with the majority in Iran, Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China. A former NSA employee has confirmed to Reuters that the Russian findings are indeed correct. Meanwhile, the Kaspersky Lab has ALSO shed light on a billion dollar international hacking ring The scheme is believed to have started in 2013, and affected more than one hundred banks in thirty countries. Rather than targeting consumers, hackers aimed malware at bank employees to gain info on internal operations. The report says that most of the banks were located in Russia, but institutions in China, Ukraine, and the US were also victimized. Officials say the plot points to a new era in cybercrime, calling the scheme the most successful criminal cyber campaign they have ever seen. Don_t go away
