Well, for anyone who’s been waiting for the law to catch up to the reality, something big just happened!Here to tell us all about it, making her triumphant return to the Naked Newsroom, it’s Shannon Blake!An Ohio man is the first to be convicted under the Take It Down Act, a federal law against the posting of nonconsensual sexual imagery, including deepfakes. Thirty-seven-year-old James Strahler II pleaded guilty on Tuesday to multiple charges, including cyberstalking and publication of digital forgeries. This after he sent harassing messages containing real and AI-generated images to at least six victims. A former Army employee has been charged with sharing “classified national defense information to a journalist.” The charges against Courtney Williams came after an article and a book described the way she was sexually harassed by the men in her unit, including her commander. It also included the retaliation she faced after filing a discrimination claim. We’ll see what happens, but the journalist in question has posted to social media, calling Williams “a courageous whistleblower.” And if you get a match on a dating app that’s too good to be true, beware! A former Penthouse Pet known to her fans as Mia Ventura is facing over a decade in prison after allegedly targeting older men on dating sites in the L.A. area, forming relationships with them, and then robbing their homes. She’s currently facing six felony charges: two counts of grand theft, two counts of burglary, and two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information. And get this: Since her arrest, she’s gotten engaged to a billionaire, so either her crime wave is over OR it continues with just one victim!
